Experimentation - Shoot One

These pictures are inspired by William Klien's work, As I looked at a lot of his work that was close ups with women smoking and a empowering, relaxed and dominant look about them, I used a dark background so that the cigarette smoke would stand out but unfortunitly the smoke did not appear how I wanted, If i was to redo this shoot I would have somehow made the smoke more prominant. I used hight lighting one on the background to get ride of background shadowing and teo on the face so that there was not shadows on her face, as I wanted to reduce the amount of shadows as much as possible. I like these pictures as I feel they have a classical persona about them, which is my main intention. I used shutter spead of 1/30" and used a tripod as I wanted a small aperture. Overall I think these images reflect the classic photography and with the large amount of contrasting colours of black and white accessories.
