Evaluation
In my final photo I wanted to use all of the research and inspiration taken from my research and combine it into one.
From John French's work I wanted to take in his use of high contrasting black and white bold accessories and his elegant, poised, poses, this would help make my work known as classically inspired. I had managed to continue his inspiration throughout my work so far and so I want to maintain this in my final picture.
Richard Avedon's work inspired me with his work with his use of vivid urban backgrounds that were detailed but yet still let the model look extremely dominate and comfortable, elegant in this picture, I thought this would really give my work the much needed wow factor to make my work engaging. However I also, like him, wanted to focus on the material of thew models clothes maybe not to show movement, but I wanted to have elegance even with material.
William Klien's work i wanted to involve his fantastic, romantic, sultry and elegant dominance and elegance he uses in his explosive photographs.
My last research of Fashion in the Mirror made me definitely want to use reflection of some sort or all of the dark, intense facial expressions that was present in this book.
Lastly from my own work, observations and experimentation I wanted them to be in my final image in some shape or form, as this is for a magazine article on how classical fashion is back in fashion, with clothing being as retro as ever and even how it's extending to even art and photography. I felt it should be right to show my journey through classic photography and include my experimentation's and recreations.
After my last shoot, experimentation shoot two, these images where going to be my main image. I chose the picture that I felt showed the most of classical photography and had all of the before mention of what so far inspired me. Once I had that image, I carried on choosing one or two of those types of images from the previous shoots. I incorporated them by pasting them via Photoshop one by one onto my main image, then using free transform i changes the size and the position of these sub images and once in place changed the oppasity to 50%, so that although on the image they are not keeping the viewer from from seeing the main image.
I like this final image as I feel it really relates to the era I was aiming for, I especially like that I have been able to show my journey to this final idea with the final image. Overall if i was to change it I would have had a more urban foreground and use better lighting for my final image but I feel I have achieved what I wanted to achieve in this project and am happy with it's turn out.
